Jake — Performance & Wellness Coach

Olympic coach · CrossFit Games champion · Author

Jake's career in human performance started in the U.S. Marine Corps and hasn't slowed down since. A master of Olympic Taekwondo, he served as head coach of the U.S. Air Force team for the 2004 Olympic Trials while simultaneously handling strength and conditioning for Steven Lopez — preparing him for the 2004 Games, where Lopez took gold.

After the Olympics, Jake pivoted from owning martial arts centers to the gym floor, opening Northwest CrossFit in 2007 as one of the first 100 affiliates in the CrossFit movement. Two years later, his athletes brought home the 2009 CrossFit Games Affiliate Cup — the fittest team in the world. At their peak, his four gyms were named a top 10 gym in the U.S. by Men's Health and were widely considered the premier CrossFit program in the Pacific Northwest. Along the way he designed the original Fit 360 program for Nike, trained as an early CHEK practitioner, and built the WOD Time software platform.

When COVID moved his coaching online, Jake redirected his focus toward the parts of fitness most programs ignore: mental and emotional health. He became a certified life coach and wrote The MORPH Method: The Pathway to Holistic Wellness, available on Amazon. His next book, The Consequence Code, explores predictive programming as a mindset framework for longevity.

Today Jake is one of the most recognized Gen X voices in health and wellness, with nearly half a million followers and close to 1,000 brand partnerships behind him. He's a certified CrossFit trainer, an entrepreneur, a specialist in the peptide and biohacking space, an architect and co-owner of the Arnold AI Fitness app, and — at 60 — currently preparing for his first physique competition.
